acquire 3 month visa from brisbane before leaving aus sept for dec travel

Question

2 Aus passport holders travelling from Brisbane on 10 Sept for 3.5 months to Europe and Hong Kong need Chinese Visa to travel from Hong Kong to China for day trips in last 2 weeks i.e. from 7 - 18 Dec.  As visa only lasts for 3 months can we get one from Brisbane before we go which will cover this period please?ThanksLinda

Linda, it's too early to apply. The embassy suggests that the applicants should submit their applications no more than three months. So you can't apply before you go. However, you can apply when you arrive in HK. According to what I know, there are some foreigners who still apply successfully there though the authorities require that the applicants must have HK resident status. If the authorities don't accept your application, please find local agents to help you.
