About:Former Residence of Lu Shaoxu

This article deals with visa extensions/renewals. But, can you extend a Duration of Stay?

I hear it's possible, of course in addition to health reasons. Let's say an important business meeting comes up on the 93 day of your 90 day stay.

Second, how much all this costs?? I didn't see any fee information here.

Third, is it possible to get a 3-month extension on an M type?! I just saw an agent online who advertises just that.

Elias, the extension cost is around CNY 160. If you apply for the extension on your own, you can only get the same duration of stay in your previous entry. From recent reports, you can only extend it once.

Yes, there are some capable agents that might help you acquire longer extension. However, they do charge much more and they don't gurantee that you can get long extension for sure.

Thanks Fiona. But can I extend my duration of stay on my CURRENT M type? let's say from 90 to 97 days? I don't need my M type extended.

No, once it is issued, the stay duration cannot be changed. You can extend it for another seven days after you enter China.
