About:China Private Visit Visa

my wife came visiting and now her 6 months visa is expiring.

i will renew my contact for one more year. So can she renew from hong Kong? Should she go there personaly or using an agent is OK?

I'm afraid not. she cannot renew it in HK since she doesn't have HK residency. You can try renew her S type at the exit & entry adminsitration within mainland after you renewed your residence permit.
