Can I apply for a 72hour yransit visa? How? What flights can I choose?

I am a german passport holder. I am working in the Philippines now. I am planning to go to Shanghai soon. I will just attend a meeting there for 1 day. So I will not be staying greater than 72 hours. Thank you.

Jac, after your visit in Shanghai, do you plan to go back to the Philippines? If yes, I suggest you take the flight from the Philippines to Shanghai via Hong Kong and the back to Philippine, so that you can make use of the 72-hour free transit policy.
