About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Can I apply for Q1 directly from the earlier X1? Expired on september 2015

Or I have to apply outside, like HK? So I'm currently studying in mainland China with a resident permit expiring on September. I have a relatives who is Chinese citizen. And how much it cost probably? Thankyou

Albert, it's possible that you can change the X1 type into a Q1 type within mainland China. You can try to do it in the local exit and entry management bureau. The cost is about CNY 160. However, it's not guaranteed that you can get the Q1 successfully.
