A Nepalese National with Australian Permanent Residency

Does a Nepalese national with an Australian Permanent Residency require a visa either for a transit or for a 72 hours on the flight to and from Sydney to Kathmandu? It is bit unclear.

Thanks

Sub, if your total layover time in mainland China does not go beyond 24 hours, you don't need the transit permit. Otherwise, you need to get a G type ahead of your trip.
