About:Jinshanling Great Wall

transportation to Jinsangling

Hello,
I would like to go there tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, depending on the weather. It's still unclear to me how to do this exactly. I tried asking the hotel, but they were of little use.

What I think I've learned so far: I have to go to Wangjing West subway station, and somehow there find a special tourist bus to Jinsangling? Does it take me all the way there or is there also a shuttle bus involved? And if I mis this tourist bus at 8AM, I have to take another bus, also from Wangjing West to Luan Ping and get of at the service area (how to recognize this?) and take a free shuttle bus? This shuttle bus only comes once every hour so I'll probably have to wait for a while?

Anyway, I would greatly appreciate it if someone could clear this all up for me, as I'm having some real trouble finding information about this online.

Thanks! :-)
Timo

Yes, if you catch the special tourist bus, it will take you to the scenic area directly. If you miss the bus, you need to take bus from Beijing to Luan Ping to Jinshanling Highway Rest Area and then change free shuttle bus to there. You needn't be worried. There are Chinese characters in front of the front windshield, which are 北京 - 滦平. When you see these Chinese characters, you can board the bus.

If you didn't catch the free shuttle bus, you can choose to wait or catch a private car/van from there. They do charge you some money. Don't forget to bargain with them because they usually charge too much.
