About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Can we get a short term Z Visa if we hired someone in China, and we have to go there and work with ?

Hi,

we are a Canadian film production company. 10 of us are going to China for 45 days to work on a film. We are going to work in Chongqing for all the 45 days, however our partner is located in Beijing. we only hired a company in Chongqing, which means on our contract, we are not partners, we just fired them.

If we get a work permit in Beijing, can we work in Chongqing?

or can we use the employment contract with the Chongqing company to apply a work permit in Chongqing ?

Do we have other options?

Thank you so much!

Hi Xiaoxiao, I suggest you get the work permit from Chonging by using the employment contract with the Chongqing company. It's better to get the work permit from Chongqing if you want to work there.

I'm afraid the embassy may require you apply for the Z type. If the consular officer does not mention it, then you can apply for the M type.
