About:Dual Nationality

i want to know if i can acquire for a chinese citizenship.

i was born in the Philippines & my parents are of both Chinese. my mother's citizenship is Chinese. on my birth certificate they put my mom's citizenship as filipino instead of chinese. can i still apply of citizenship? what are documents needed?

as stated: 3. Any person born abroad whose parents are both Chinese nationals, or one parent who is a Chinese national

Ong, if you already take Filipino citizenship, then you can not take Chinese citizenship unless you give up your Filipino citzenship. However, the fact is that it's too difficult to acquire Chinese citizenship even you give up your Filipino citizenship.

Thank you for the info.. since my both parents are chinese citizens,can i stay or live in China permanently?

Kim, it has nothing to do with your parents. If you hold Filipino passport, you need to apply long-term visas to saty in China for long. Usually, you can stay 1, 2, 3 or 5 years. Then you need to reapply again. Unless you aquire permanent resident permit, then you can stay as long as you can. However, it's difficult to apply for this too.
