About:Requirements for China Green Card (Permanent Residence Permit)

permanent residence visa wanted.

Hi,I have been working here in china in one city for eight years as an English teacher. I have a volunteers award and an honorary friendship award. I have a Chinese wife of four years. She owns her home which we use. I am 64 and retiring (yes, I have been working legally despite being over 60).
I want an resident permit without having to leave china, rather than leave and then apply. I want it to supersede my current work type.
Advice?
Many thanks!
Andrew

Andrew, if you don't have other direct relatives overseas, then tou can apply for the PRC green card (permanent residence permit) now. If you have direct relatives abroad, I'm afraid you have to wait for one year and then apply for the green card.

Yes, you can apply it in China. You just have to ask someone to help you deal with the paperwork especially NO CRIMINAL Record certificate and have it authenticated by Foreign Affairs office and Chinese embassy in your country. As for the rest of documents, you can do them all in China.
