hi. i am looking to get a bustrain from lanzhou to dunhuang on sunday 26th july.

Question

I hope to leave that evening or else early on Monday 27th July. If you could please advise about either or both. In DH, I wish to visit the caves and the Golden Crescent. My time there is short so I would like to get there as fast as possible while still on a budget. Thanks.

Three trains to DH are avaialable from Lanzhou Train Station. The schedules respectively are 17:17, 18:00 and 19:08. It takes 14 to 15 hours on the way. The ticket fare of soft sleeper is CNY398.5 and hard sleeper is CNY261.5.  If you wanna save time, you can also take a high speed train to Jiayuguan first in 4-4.5 hours and then transfer to a long-distance bus to DH in 4 hours.
