beijing to hami with children

Question

I will be travelling from Beijing to Hami with 2 children. If we purchase soft sleeper tickets is it possible to purchase 4 instead of 3 and have the cubicle to ourselves? Are child fares the same as adult fares (ages are 12 and 14)? When can tickets be purchased for travel in December?

Usually they begin for sale 60 days in advance. However, according to the policy, one people can only buy one ticket on the same train. The child fare depends on the height instead. The child between 120cm and 150cm can enjoy the child discouont(about 25% off for sleeper). The childunder 120cm cab board for free but have to share bed with adult.
