staying in Luoyang or Zhengzhou?

We are planning a long weekend in LY and are evaluating the possibility of staing at a hotel in Zhengzhou where we have special advantages. How difficult and troublesome is it to commute from Zhengzhou to LY's main attractions? Is the nightlife at LY really attractive as explained on this webpage?

Well, yes, it's ok for you to stay at Zhengzhou. And the transportation is not that difficult.
You can take high-speed train from Zhengzhou Railway Station, get off at Longmen Railway Station. The duration is about 40 mins. After arriving, take a taxi to get to the Longmen Grottoes Scenic Area.

Well, yes. The nightlife in LY city is interesting. The night markets are highly recommended there. You can taste distinctive local foods.
