About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

ABTC (APEC Business Travel Card) & Chinese visa

For US or Canadian passport holders, if their ABTC are still valid but their Chinese entry permits will expire soon, do they still need to renew? Can they enter with the ABTC only? Thanks.

They cannot enter with the ABTC only, that is, they have to get new entry permit for China.

Hi Bonnie ~ They still need a valid China visa. Is it because they use US or Canadian passport? I found some people from non-US/Canada asked the similar questions. They can enter China just with their APEC cards and passports. I'm confused. Thanks again.

Kilanng, as far as I know, the ABTC issued by the US or Canada cannot function as visa to other economic entities of APEC, so you can't enter China with it.
