Chen, it takes around 4 hours. There are regular buses from Xiahe to Lanzhou. Usually, it costs around CNY 800 to 1000 if the driver has to go ack to Xiahe with no passengers. In other words, a single trip costs around CNY 400 to 500. However, you go there during National Day Holiday. The price might go up. Do not be afraid of bargaining with the driver.
