Can an HIV positive on medication viral load undetectable otherwise healthy be granted a fec?

I contracted HIV whilst in china and have regular check ups, blood tests and am on medication which keeps everything controlled. My viral load status is undetectable however any blood test will still result positive. Is it impossible for me to get a foreign expert certificate / residence permit? Thank you

Roger, you still have the possibility to get the foreign expert certificate, but the chance is not big.

Thanks for your reply Nina. I failed to mention before that I had previously been working in china with a residence permit. Would this help my position / case? I also understand that since 2010 the government lifted the restriction for HIV positive people regarding FEC and work permit. Is this correct?

I do think it will be helpful for your application. The government lifted the restriction for HIV possible people, but it does not mean that you will definitely be rejected because of this.
