Transit Visas

My sons are travelling to the UK on Luthansa in 8days time, transitting in Shanghai and I just realize they will need visas. We can present documents to the embassy in Auckland, but one of them is working. Does this have to be done in person by the person who is travelling or can someone else submit

Karen, you can submit and collect their documents on their behalf if they can't come in person. However, applicants are suggested to be in their countries when their applications are processed because the embassy might ask them for interviews.
