Help with Itinerary Planning for two days in Hangzhou

I'm visiting there from July 21st (evening) and leaving first thing July 24 (morning). So with two full days and one additional night, what are the best places to visit? Also is there time to check out Shanghai or should I leave that for another trip?

Hi, your time is enough for HZ sightseeing and a side trip in Shanghai, but of course you have no chance to see all.
July 21: go to Qinghefang Ancient Street for fun at night.
July 22: take an early high speed train to Shanghai. The Bund, Oriental Pearl Tower and City God Temple are recommended.
July 23: take a whole day in HZ for sightseeing. The West Lake Scenic Area and Grand Canal are must-sees.
