About:Slender West Lake

should i apply for to cancel work permit? and go back to Pakistan and get student visa.

Its malik from this end. as i have work permit, but now i like to quit my job and start PhD. please guide for procedure.

or i can change my Z type to student type without leaving China. am i right?

and last question, how long i can stay after cancellation of my work permit? looking forward for your kind feedback

Hi, Malik, you can possibly change the Z type into X type without leaving China. The process is to be conducted in the local eixt and entry administration office of the Public Security Organ. You can first cancel your work permit, then apply for the X type, and last renew your residence permit.

Thanks Pauline for your kind response. I think it is not possible, as my university will post my documents to Pakistan on my postal address. Anyway thanks for replying, have to go back and I like to go back also^^
