Chinese Study Type (F) for Australian Tourist in Turkey

I am in Turkey for 4 days before moving to Beijing for study. I am Australian. Would I be able to get a rushed study visa for China in Istanbul. I will be visiting Turkey on a regular tourist type entry permit.

Mike, it is possible that you can apply from the embassy in Turkey and apply for the rush service, but I think you need to apply for an X type rather than the F type.

Hi Betty

Thanks for the advice. You are right it turns out I need to apply for an X2 type. I am now considering applying for it in Rome using the rush service as i am told that there is an Application Centre there. I will be in Italy for 1 week. The application page of the CVAC website says I need to provide proof of "legal status" in Italy. Do you think it would be sufficient for me to show that I am holidaying in Italy? The website provides a price list for applications for Citizens from countries other than Italy which seems to imply it might be possible for me to apply. however my concern is that only permanent residents or people on working/study types in Italy can apply. Any thoughts?

Michael, if you have a valid Italian entry permit, it is possible that you can apply from Italy, but you should confirm this with the embassy there before you go to the country.
