About:Chinese Consulate in Melbourne

Apply entry permit to hong kong from Australia

Hi,
I'm an Australian citizen and want to travel to hong kong with my friend, she is a non resident and is on holiday her from Russia. Can she apply for a visa in Australia?

David, so your friend holds a Russian passport? If so, she doesn't need the entry permit for Hong Kong as long as the visit is not beyond 30 days.

Yes she holds a Russian passport, thank you very much for your help, if we wanted to cross to Shenzhen for a shopping trip is she able to get visa on arrival as I am with my Australian passport?

Yes, it's very possible that she can get the VOA.
