About:Dragon's Love Compatibility

I'm 9-17-1989 and he is 1-8-88. Do we fair well?

I asked here earlier and someone replied that your calendar year is based in lunar on the 2nd for 1-8-88. I wasn't sure what that meant. He is a rabbit but is born in dragon year. Does that mean we are not good for each other?
