Oh, Alan. To have a good experience there, I'd recommend the Courier Inn Garden and Pure Land Hostel (Hongchen Jingtu Hostel) to you. Both of them are comfortable and more or less have ethnic styles. More importantly, they are of good location with the former within walking distance to the old town and the latter is right in the town.1
