Security check opening hours at HKIA

Me and my girlfriend are having an 18-hours transfer time in hong kong airport from about 15.00 on 22nd of july to 09.00 on 23rd of july.
We are thinking about going ito HK centre to do som turisting. Can we come back thrue security and into the airport late at night? We are planning to stay the night inside the airport.
