attending an academic conference in Hong Kong

Hello!
I am student in Japan (originally from Iran) and would like to attend an academic conference (to be held in Hong Kong) at the end of August 2015 (for 5 days). Could you please let me know where should I apply? and usually how long is the visa processing time? (I live in Tokyo). Where can I find the application forms and a list of the supporting documents?

You may apply from the embassy in Tokyo. As an alternative, you may also submit your application to the HKSAR Immigration Department either directly by post or through a local sponsor. The processing time is about one month. You can find the application fom and supporting documents list on the website of the HK Immigration Department.
