About:China Transit Visa

2hr layover in Beijing

I am a Filipino passport holder. I have a flight from Manila, Philippines to Budapest, Hungary and will have a 3-hr layover in Beijing. I have a valid Hungarian student visa. Do I need to apply for Chinese transit type entry permit? Air China said I don't need to secure it anymore as long as I don't go out of the airport. I need to confirm if this is correct. Thank you!

Joy, you don't need to apply for it. Anyway, if you want to leave the airport, you can apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport.
