About:China Green Card (Permanent Residence Permit)

how to go about the residence permit when i arrive in china

Hi, i have a student visa and would be coming to China to study for the fall semester. My question is that when i arrive in china by june can i pay to get the residence permit without paying all the fees to the school i will be studying with or i have to pay the fees to the school first before i get the resident permit.Also how much is the resident permit fee?

Derek, if you can provide all documents from the school, it does not matter whether you apply for the residence permit before you pay the tuition or after you pay it. Which city do you inten to apply? The residence permit fees may be different. Based on my knowledge, if you apply from Guangzhou, it costs CNY 100.

Derek, since you are only studying for the fall semester, I think the requested validity of your residence permit is not more than one year, right? If so, the price is CNY 400.
