About:China Tourist Visa

Does the invitation letter need to be on letterhead or from a Chinese National?

We are applying for Chinese Tourist Visas to visit our son who is studying in Tianjin. I was told if he sends us a letter of invitation, we will not need to submit hotel reservations with our application. What does he need to include in this invitation?

Julie, the invitation letter can also be sent from foreigners who stay in China. So your son can send you this invitation letter. If you read this page carefully, you should have already found what should be included in the letter.
1. the applicant's personal information, such as name, gender, date of birth
2. planned visit, when to arrive, when to leave, where to go.
3. the inviter's personal information: name, contact number, address, official stamp or signature.
