1 ) Only a few large cities like Beijing and Shanghai have online booking system of long-distance bus tickets. Even if there is one, there is a great possibility it is in Chinese only. Actually, you can just buy one upon arrival at the station and in most cases, there are sufficient tickets left.
2) The drop off station, Jindaoxia gorge, is just outside the scenic area, there is no need to hire a mini van.
3) I don’t think it’s necessary. You can buy one before boarding or after getting onboard on the return bus.
4) For organized itinerary, it can provide you convenient transport. But you are always required to follow the guide’s steps. If travel on your own, you can definitely see more as you like and tour in your own steps.
5) I’m a little confused? Arrive at 07:00 at CQ or Wulong? If CQ, which train station?
BTW, there are many travel lovers here. You can post your questions and they will solve it for you. If I have time, I'll answer it too:)
