Tejas, you should first notarize your Bahamian marriage certificate and then have it attested at the embassy in the Bahamas. Only after that the certificate can be used in mainland China. For your information, you should apply for a Q1 type at the embassy by submitting your passport, passport copy, marriage certificate, applicaiton form, recent photo, and your husband's passport and ID card. After you enter China with the Q1 type, you should apply for a temporary reidence permit at the exit and entry administration bureau within 30 days.
