About:Hong Kong Octopus Card

Most convenient card/pass to purchase in Hong Kong

Hi, I will be in HK with my 2 children on June 24-27. Our point of interest are Disneyland, Ocean park ,Mongkok, Ladies Market & Stanley Market.We will be staying at Regal Hotel. What will be the best pass/card that I can purchase?

You can buy the airport express travel pass with two express train rides. There are frees shuttle bus leading to your hotel from the airport express station. The travel pass also included three-day unlimited MTR ride, and you can take the MTR to most attractions. It will be much cheaper. If you want to take the bus or ferry, you just need to reload the pass, and it will function like a normal octopus card, you can also get a refund when you do not need it.

If you don't ride Airport Express, the regular Octopus Card is the best choice. With it, you can enjoy some discounts on buses, MTR, and ferries. Children between 3 and 11 years old just need to pay a little for the card. Anyway, you should know one card for each person, unless your kid is under 3 years old, who can enjoy free rides.
