About:Guangzhou Railway Station

Direct rail to Guangzhou station

Hello all,

My name's Amri from Malaysia. I will be travelling by train from Hong Kong to Hanoi at the end of this year, and will make a short 2-hour transit in GZ. In the China TripAdvisor site, it mentioned that once I arrived in GZ East station from Hong Kong, I should take the metro line 3, then exchange for metro line 5 at Zhujiang in order to reach GZ station. However when I checked this site, it mentions that I can take a high-speed rail straight to GZ station in just ten minutes.

Is this true? Has anyone here used it? If it is them it should be more convenient than having to take two metro trips. Hope anyone can help me out on this matter.

Thanks

Cannot see these is high speed rail between. Maybe you still need the transfer by emtro. You can choose to stop at Zhujiang or Yangji by line 1 instead then take line 5.

Thanks. Actually I used the train search option on this site, entered GZ East in departure section and GZ in arrival, chose tomorrow's date and it returned a whole set of results of rail going there, for example C7012 departing from GZE at 0743 and arriving at GZ at 0753, or K86 from GZE at 0840 to GZ at 0850. These rides may be heading to some other destinations, but travel to GZ along the way I guess.

So can I take one of these ? Please advise.

These rails you mentioned do exist, but it seems that the authority do not sale tickets for that part. The metro seems a better option.
