The former is the train station and the latter is bus station. They are close to each other. You can walk between in 8-10min. I suggest you take a train. Upon getting to Taipei, the Ximending is only around 1.3km away. You can directly walk there.

Hello Felicia,

Many thanks for the fast response.. even though I think my qn seems quite dumb...

I'm confused as many blog sites i visited seems to indicate that taichung train station and bus station are under one roof.. :l

Oh, they are not. I remember the distance between them is around 850m. Anyway, you can google the locations or directly consult the Cityinn Plus Hotel to confirm.

Hello Emily,

Thanks for the info (:

I'm staying in Taipei for 4 nights but I'm running out of ideas of where to go... Currently I'm planning to go Jiu Fen and Shi Fen as well as Daxi Flower Farm.

Anyone else has ideas where to go? I have been to Wufenpu and Danshui already too~

Hope this is not too late for you, Jean. The local Fengjia Night Market should not be missed. It is as popular as the Shilin Night Market in Taipei. In addition, the Gaomei Wetland Scenic Area and Lavender Cottage are also great destinations.
