tankongmiao, huidong, huizhou

Question

I am interested to visit Tankongmiao (Tan kong temple) in Huidong, base on road direction 14 mins or 11.7 km from Guangdong. Understand there is a express bus from kowloon to Shenzhen tha change another bus from Shenzhen to huidong than to temple. Not sure if this the right direction ? Need some help and guidance on how to get from kowloon, Hkg to Tankongmiao. Many Thanks.

It should be Tangong Temple, right?Your direction is right, you can take the train or bus to Shezhen first. And in Shenzhen, both bus and train are available to Huidong. Upon arrival, you can hire a car to the temple.

Thank you for your guidance. From the web site, understand there are 2 Tan Gong temples. One walking distance when you alight from the bus. The other is located 929 Country Road (Jiulongfeng Tangong Zumiao) which is quite a distance from main road up the mountain. I am rather confused which is the correct Tan Gong temple. Can you further enlighten pls.

Yes, there are several Tangong Temples in the county, but most people say Tangong Temple, they mean the one in Jiulongfeng scenic area. It is also regarded as the origin of all other Tangong Temples. And you are right, it is near the 929 Road. Glad you find the right one.

I am keen and interested to know more about other tangongmiao locations within the country, hope you enlighten me further. Past 2 years, visited tangongmiao at Kuala Pilah, Shau Kei Wan, Happy Valley & Largo Coloane. Coming August 2, back to Kuala Pilah, if time permit en-route to Mantin than back to KL. Tks & Rgds.

Okay, I know another Tangong Temple near Fanhe School in Renshan Town, Huidong County. It is about 3.5 miles (5.5km) to the southeast of Huidong Railway Station.
