Is there a limit on number of calendar days per year allowed on M visa?

I have a valid multi-entry M visa (90 days per stay), and have stayed a total of 75 days this year. I understand that new Chinese rules limit the number of days per calendar year to 90. Is this in fact true? I have not been able to find mention of it on any embassy sites (US or China). Thanks.

Fanklin, duration of stay is counted for next day after your arrival. Your duration of stay is 90 days. It's easy for you to figure out when you should exit. And you'd better not just count your duration of stay as three months. You know, the month could be 30 or 31 days.

Sally,
Mine is 90 days per entry, but I have been told by several people that new Chinese rules now only allow a TOTAL of 90 days per CALENDAR YEAR. I need to know if this is true or not, but can't find any info online. Thanks for your response!

Franklin, I haven't heard such saying. I personally think this is not true because some people hold a multiple entry one year type with a 180-day stay duration per entry.

Franklin,
90 days is limit per one entry or per year? Still not clear.
Thanks,
