Can I take the ferry from Humen to Hong Kong if my flight is not leaving the same day?

I know to get to Humen from HK by ferry I have to transit the same day I arrive. Is it similar going the other way? I am staying at the Regal Airport Hotel for two nights and would rather not take the coach to downtown HK.
