About:China Tourist Visa

Can my son take three visa applications to Consulate?

I will be traveling to China with my husband and son in August to visit another son who is studying near Beijing. Can my son who lives in NYC take all three applications to the Chinese Consulate to apply? Or is he limited to one application? Additionally, so we need a letter of invitation from the son who is living in PRC to complete our application?
Thank you!

Hi Julie! If all of you reside in the consular district of the NYC consulate, your son can take all three applications for you to apply. You can ask your son to write you an invitation letter so that the round-trip tickets and hotel bookings are not necessary to submit.

My husband and I live in Wisconsin and our son lives in NYC, (but his permanent address is still in Wisconsin.) Will he be able to apply for our Chinese visas at the Consulate in Manhattan? If not, do you have a recommendation? Are third parties (e.g. a travel agency) safe and reliable?

Julie, I'm afraid you should apply from the consulate in Chicago. You can find an safe and reliable agency, there must be many. Just choose the most trustworthy one.
