Activities in grassland

When will be Nadam Festival? We are planning to visit Inner Mongolia in July, I was thinking to stay one night in yurt. Can we book it in advance? How difficult is to find information in Hohhot or Baotou about how to visit grassland, desert and other spots? I can speak chinese a little. Thanks

As I heard, the festival falls on 19th – 23rd in July in this year, and the activity will be held in Erdos city.
Yes, you need to book it in advance. You need to book a hotel, and you can ask the hotel to arrange the accomodation and transport in the grasslands for you. Local travel agency may also be helpful.
If you can speak Chinese a little, that would be quite helpful.
