About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

Chinese tourist visa by UK citizen currently in Australia

I am living in WA, on a working holiday entry permit. I'm looking at going to China for a week, few days in Beijing then a few in Xian before heading to Thailand. However I hold a UK passport. I was wondering what options I have to apply. If I have to visit an embassy how long will the procedure take before being able to reclaim? Or can I apply in Hong Kong. Many thanks.

Lucky, according to what I know, people from a few countries like UK and USA can still apply mainland entry permits in HK. And it's possible for you to appy in Australia too. You need to visit the CVASC center that has jurisdiciton over your area. It takes four working days usually.
