Where is it safe to exchange money other than hotels and banks in Shanghai?

Also can a tourist hail a taxi cab with authentic meter system?

Hello there. The Travelex International Currency is recommended. It is safe and the rate is reasonable. There are some branches in the city and the locations are as follows for your reference:
No. 1, Century Avenue, Pudong New Area;
No. 322, Anfu Road, Xuhui District;
Biyun Sport Leisure Center, no. 600, Lantian Road, Pudong New Area

Almost all taxis have authentic meter systems in the city, so it is easy to hail one along a street. But for a long-distance such as from the airport to the downtown, the drivers usually calls for a flat rate.
