Can I take 30 lbs of raw almonds to distribute to family?

My wife and I are visiting her family in Guangzhou in a couple of weeks. We are bringing raw, unpackaged almonds to give as gifts to her family members. Is this allowed?

Tim, you can't take them to Guangzhou. Raw almonds are seeds. Seeds are forbidden to enter PRC.
