About:Tibet Travel Tips

Is travel to Mount Kailash & Manas Sarovar open from Nepal-Kodari- Nyalam by road

We plan to on 26th June. Is now safe to travel

Kale, according to your route, you need to pass Zhangmu (Kasa) Port, right? Actually, Zhangmu (Kasa) Town was damaged during the earthquake. According to the latest news report, local people have evacuated from the town. Two days ago, the news report said that local soldiers were helping locals to transfer their valuables to the safer area.

By the way, I heard that transportation from Lhasa to Shigatse was ok now. However, it is still impossible to visit Mt. Everest and Zhangmu (Kasa). And it is still unsure whether the transportation will be fine one month later.
