No, the best way should be the direct buses. They are available from 07:00 to 19:30 every an hour from Hongji Bus Station near Wuchang Railway Station. It takes around 4h and the bus fare is CNY128.
By train, only two bullet train leaves from Wuchang to Xiangyang/Xiangfan at 12:46 and 19:00.0
