About:Chinese Consulate in New York

I am applying for a S2 type and my son's visa will expire..july31 and I will be asking to be there

till Aug the 5th. he is from the usa. How soon can he apply for a new one?Do you think that my application will be denied? Thank you for answering my other questions

Your son can only renew his residence permit seven days before it expires. Well, when will you depart? If you are going to visit him recently, you can submit the application. You need not wait until he renews his residence permit. However, the consular officer may give you a stay duration which ends before July 31.
