About:10 Insider Tips for Great Wall Travel - Dos and Don¡¯ts

If we land at 2:15pm, will we have time to take a cab to Mutianyu?

What time does it close? Websites show different times. This would be on June 3. How much would a cab be round trip? Would a driver wait for us? If not, what do we do with luggage?

CIndy, I am afraid that you may not be able to make this trip. Suppose you arrive on time, you still need around 30 minutes to get off the plane and go to the taxi pick-up area. If you are unlucky, you need to queue up for taking a taxi. Let's suppose you wait for 15 minutes. Then you catch the taxi at 15:00. However, it takes around 2 to 2.5 hours to reach the section you mentioned. It should be 17:00 or 17:30 when you get there. The wall is closed at that time.
