tourist visa under 18

We are currently living in Beijing. My sons friend wants to visit us this summer are there any additional issue for someone under the age of 18?

He or she may need to submit the birth certifcate, photocopies of parents' passports as well as authorization letter from the parents. For more details, please contact the embassy.
