About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Hi what type of visa do I need when my fiancé is inviting me to visit him. What do we need?

We are really having a hard time to figure what do we need to do so that I can visit him and stay longer. My fiancé is an American and he is working as a teacher in China. Thanks

Hi, Aj. As you are not married to your fiance, it's difficult for you to get the family dependant S type. So you can only apply for the tourist L type. The L type allows you to stay for 90 days at most. If 90 days are not enough for you, you can consult with the consular officer whether you are eligible for the S type.

If you can provide an invitation letter from your fiance, the hotel bookings won't be required. However,if you go China for the first time, you may need to show the bank statement. In addition, you should take your passport, application form, passport copy, recent photo, and the invitation letter.

It's your bank statement that should be submitted.
