how early can i arrive before my summer course?

Hi,I'm taking a 4 week course at Jiaotong that starts on the 13th July - applying for an F visa. Can I get a flight to arrive in China on the 1st of July so I can get settled before my course starts or will I need to arrive nearer the course start date?Thank you,Isabel

Isabel, what is your duration of stay of your F type, 30 days? If so, you should not come on July 1. If you do, your duration of stay will be counted from July 2 and end on July 30. Then you need to leave before you finish your course.
