About:Chinese Consulate in San Francisco

How to renew my Chinese passport that is going to expire soon (I have green card and 19 this year)

Hi:
I am holding green card here living in San Francisco. My passport is going to expire on June 11th 2015. What do I need to do or if there is any documents I need prepare to submit and how do I renew my passport? Just going to the embassy and submit the required documents?

I am also wondering if I should make an appointment to submit the documents they require.. (Because I have noticed there is always a long, long lineup in front embassy). Due to the busy week of final exams, I cannot go to the embassy until June 6th.. is it too late for for them to process and to renew my passport (as my passport will expire on June 11th) and if there is any applications that I need to fill out, where can I find them? ( can I download the form online?)

Thanks
Andy

Andy, you need to bring these documents to the consulate to renew your passport.
1. filled passport/travel document/return certificate application form. It can be downloaded from the website of Chinese embassy in USA
2. 4 recent six months passport photo with white background
3. original passport and copies of the information pages, entry records and last entry and exit stamp
4. valid resident permit in USA (green card in your case), both original and copy versions

Yes, you can make a reservation on the website. The website address can be found on the website of Chinese embassy in USA.
