Did ancient china have different music for different ceremonies?

Kelsie, of course music were created for different ceremonies. For example, the music played for awedding ceremony is totally different from that for a funeral.

yes, there was many traditions with different kinds of music, like the chinese new year .

Yes, some music were only for the Emperor and his family, others would be traditionally played at fairs and when something very important would happen. :) I hope this answered your question well.
